They live in Indonesia on the island of Sumatra, in Malaysia and Thailand. A feature of these gibbons are white eyebrows, which are a strip of white hair located on the forehead. And males are distinguished by the contrasting color of their cheeks: white or grayish cheeks are clearly visible against the general background. Gibbons live in tropical forests, moving on long arms in the crowns of trees, with the help of brachiation. They live in separate pairs, protecting their territory from other couples by singing. Usually one cub is born every 2-3 years, which the female feeds with milk for up to 2 years. Gibbons are born naked, and at this moment they resemble children more than other great apes. Puberty begins at 8 years old, they live from 20 to 30 years. It feeds mainly on fruits, sometimes it also eats the foliage of trees, flowers and insects. A very rare species, listed in the International Red Book as endangered.
