Кольчатый чирок

Небольшая водоплавающая птица из семейства утиных. Населяет заболоченные леса и труднодоступные водоемы Южной Америки. Питаются кольчатые чирки растительной и животной пищей, которую процеживают через клюв в иле на дне водоемов или собирают с земли. Гнезда устраивают в дуплах деревьев, в кладке 6-12 яиц. Через месяц инкубации птенцы вылупляются и совершают «прыжок» с большой высоты, следуя за матерью к водоему. В неволе могут жить до 15 лет.

Halqali chirkalar suv havzalari tubidagi balchiqda tumshug‘i orqali suzilgan yoki yerdan yig‘ib olingan o‘simlik va hayvon ozuqasi bilan oziqlanadi. Uyalar daraxt kovaklariga, 6-12 ta tuxum qo‘yilgan joylarga quriladi. Inkubatsiyadan bir oy o‘tgach, jo‘jalar tuxumdan chiqadi va katta balandlikdan "sakrab," onasining orqasidan suv havzasiga boradi. Tutqunlikda 15 yilgacha yashashi mumkin.

A small waterfowl species from the duck family, inhabiting swampy forests and remote wetlands of South America. The ringed teal feeds on both plant and animal matter, which it filters through its bill from the mud at the bottom of water bodies or gathers from the ground. Nests are built in tree cavities, with a clutch of 6–12 eggs. After about one month of incubation, the ducklings hatch and make a dramatic “jump” from great heights to follow their mother to the water. In captivity, they can live up to 15 years.
