Avstraliya va Tasmaniyada keng tarqalgan. Cho‘l va dashtlardagi butazorlarda yashaydi, tig'iz o'rmon va suvsiz xududlarda tarqalmayidi. Tana balandligi 150 - 180 sm, vazni 55 kg.gacha yetadi. Galada 1 ta nar va bir necha makiyon bo‘ladi. Uyada bir necha makiyon emularga tegishli 7 - 20 ta tuxumi (vazni 700 - 900 gramm) bo‘lishi mumkin, tuxum rangi to'q yashil. Meva, urug‘ va mayda jonzotlar bilan oziqlanadi. 20 - 30 yil yashaydi.

Распространен в Австралии и Тасмании. Населяет кустарниковые и песчаные пустыни, избегает густые леса и засушливые зоны. В высоту достигает 150 - 180 см, вес до 55 кг. Живет группами из 1 самца и нескольких самок. В кладке 7 - 20 яиц темно-зеленого цвета (вес 700 - 900 г) от нескольких самок. Питаются семенами, плодами и мелкими животными. Живет 20 - 30 лет.

Its diet includes seeds, fruits, and small animals. Its lifespan is 20 – 30 years.
